Residential Living
Building Life Skills in a Group Home Setting
Cardinal Services is proud to offer two residential options —residential living and community living — with varying levels of support to help individuals live the life they want:
Residential living, also known as group homes or supervised group living, provides 24-hour support for adults needing assistance with daily living. Residents live with others with similar abilities and needs, and they are encouraged and empowered to be as self-sufficient and independent as possible.
In addition to support at home, residents also have opportunities to be active in the community and participate in day programs. Choices for day programming vary depending on the location of the home.
The homes are licensed and governed by state and federal regulations, with annual recertification by the Indiana Department of Health to ensure all standards of care and support are being met.
Individuals receiving Home- and Community-Based Medicaid waiver services may want to compare residential living to our community living program to determine which option is best for their needs.
