Serving Prenatal Mothers and Children Age 0-3
Early Head Start is a federally funded program providing early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families.
Kosciusko County Early Head Start (KCEHS) supports prenatal mothers, infants and toddlers up to age 3 through home-based services. In the program, a qualified teacher comes to the home to work with children one-on-one for 90 minutes each week, year-round. Socializations are scheduled twice per month to give parents opportunities to interact with other parents, participate in activities with their own child, and allow their child to experience play with other KCEHS children.
We believe parents are their child’s first and most important teachers throughout their lives. To help parents be the best they can be, we partner with them to monitor their children’s health, nutritional, mental health and dental needs, and their developmental progress.
