Day Services
Programs for Adults with Disabilities
Day services provide opportunities for individuals to participate in activities that interest them, help them build life skills, and develop friendships. Choices available through our main facility in Warsaw include RedBird Art Studio, a wide variety of clubs, and volunteer experiences.
RedBird Art Studio
Artists of all abilities are encouraged to explore their creativity at RedBird Art Studio! There are no mistakes at RedBird, and artistic expression leads to self-discovery and, sometimes, to new friends. In RedBird Art Studio, artists discover unknown talents, earn income from their artwork, and increase their independence.
RedBird is open to visitors, and art is available for purchase from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Clubs
Clubs allow a person to explore their interests, grow their skills and understanding, and expand their circle of friends. Our clubs are determined by what people tell us they want to do, and some clubs even include sub-clubs as those interests develop. We have several recently renovated rooms equipped for specific clubs, but clubs are not limited to the walls of Cardinal; many groups spend time enjoying our community.
Some currently active clubs include:
If you don’t see a club for your interest, just ask. We’re always open to new ideas, and other participants may share your passion.
Volunteer Experiences
The individuals we serve enjoy being active, productive members of our community. Volunteering is an opportunity to give back to others while socializing, having fun, and often learning new skills for independence or work readiness.
Some of the organizations and groups we’ve volunteered with include Fellowship Missions, Salvation Army, Kosciusko Community Senior Services, Valley Springs Fellowship Church, American Red Cross, Deli & Dough, and United Methodist Soup Kitchen.
